The Gift She Actually Needs - No Pressure Added

Can I tell you about a kind of tired that sleep doesn't fix?

It's the tired that comes from always being on. From waking up with a mental to-do list before your feet even hit the floor. From saying yes when you mean no, from pushing through when everything in you wants to stop, from performing a version of yourself that feels just slightly more put-together than how you actually feel on the inside.

Most moms know exactly what I'm talking about. Most women do as well.

There is this unspoken pressure that follows us everywhere. It shows up in the school pickup line when you compare your morning to someone else's Instagram. It shows up at work when you wonder if you're doing enough. It shows up in church, of all places, when you catch yourself thinking about how you measure up.

And the worst part? Nobody put it there. Or at least, not one single person. It's the accumulation of a thousand small messages that said: be more. Do better. Try harder. You're not quite there yet.

THE PRESSURE IS NOT FROM GOD

I know because I've lived it. From the time I was three years old, standing in an audition room in Los Angeles trying to be exactly what the panel of adults across the table wanted me to be, I learned to perform. That pattern followed me into horse show circuits, corporate sales offices, and yes, even into church pews.

It wasn't until I finally sat with the words of Jesus, three words He spoke from the cross, that something in me began to shift.

It is finished.

That's it. The debt is paid. The performance is over. The pressure to earn God's love, to be good enough, to prove your worth, it was never something He asked of you. It was always the world whispering, and we confused it for His voice.

A GIFT THAT SPEAKS TO HER SOUL

That's why I wrote Free Indeed: A 14-Day Devotional on Living Beyond the Pressure to Prove. Not from a place of having figured it all out. From the middle of the journey, as a woman who is still learning every single day what it means to lay it down.

Each day is short enough to read over a cup of coffee, honest enough to actually land, and rooted in the kind of grace that doesn't ask you to earn it first.

If there is a woman in your life who is carrying too much, a mom, a friend, a sister, a daughter, this is the gift that says: I see you. You don't have to keep performing. You are already enough in Him.
